If my retro catwoman look was too tame for you, here’s a slightly scarier Halloween make-up idea that you can recreate on yourself at home. It’s a simple horror doll look that is quick to apply, and you don’t need too many products. Wear it with a babydoll dress and ripped tights – easy! Here goes:
- Face: For this look you don’t need any foundation – just use the Radiance Highlighter all over the face to give you an iridescent spooky glow. Dot all over the face and dab in with a foundation brush for an even finish.
With a blusher brush, contour your cheeks, and round the jaw line, with the matt black eyeshadow. This makes the cheekbones and jawline look hollowed out and comes out really well in photos. Don’t forget to wash out your blusher brush before you use it next time!
Using a liquid eyeliner, draw stitches along your forehead, cheeks and brows; be bold and join a few of them together.
- Eyes: With your matt black shadow, draw on your eyebrows, heavy and doll-like.
For a painted doll look, you don’t want any colour on the main lids, but take the colour slightly down the inner corners of the eyes. Use a flash of bright blue mascara and your eyes are done!
- Lips: Every scary doll needs a vampy lip, so I used Colour Crush lipstick in 115. This creates a striking contrast with the pale face and really rounds off the whole creepy look.
- Bonus tips: To finish off the look, check you have drawn on enough stitches, and even add a few to your body using your liquid liner. For added gothic shimmer, spritz on some of The Sparkler on your face and arms.
